I spoke to a lady yesterday in Seattle and she has a litter of chinchilla persian. She is not a registered breeder but both parents and kittens are registered with CFA. I have some reservation but this is probably my only choice of getting a doll face chinchilla persian within a reasonable distance and price. There is simply not that many cat breeders in BC.

Please be certain that both parents have been DNA tested for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Diesase) and both are Negative for this genetically inherited kidney problem. If not, I advise you to find a breeder that has done their DNA testing for PKD and only breeds PKD Negative cats.

Also, just because the parents and kittens are CFA registered, does not necessarily guarantee you will be getting a healthy kitten. Make certain this breeder offers a health guarantee just in case (heaven forbid) your vet discovers a serious health issue when you bring your new baby in for his/her vet check.

Best of luck to you in your search. :cat: :paw:

Missionhill is in western Canada but I doubt she has many traditional looking silvers though. Her program looks fairly advanced. There is a breeder in Washington (I think - might be Oregon) -EZ2Luv. I don't know what she has at the moment. Since you are looking for traditional there is a breeder in California that breeds for the traditional look. LaDearheart is the cattery name I believe. This is kitten season though so I would suggest checking out all the websites. You might want to go to the United Silver and Golden Fanciers website. The members all breed silvers and goldens. No matter who you buy from, ask for a copy of the DNA PKD test of either the parents or the kitten to be sure you are getting a cat free from this disease. Most breeders do ship, but not sure if they ship pet quality. I don't ship any of my kittens.
