Ok so this is a learning curve re the raw food and Winston. He was driving me crazy yesterday following me into the kitchen everytime I went in there and licking his chops to show me he wanted to be fed again. I kept trying to interest him in his kibble or even some hills science diet wet food but no he just wanted the raw food.

He got 4 oz yesterday and still wanted more so .. I gave him a 5th 1 oz serving. Today he's had the gooey poops and while he still was begging another serving of raw food he had only one plus 2 hills science smatterings of a feeding (that's what he ate ~ a smattering) and he's been resting all day.

I hope he'll be Ok tomorrow as this is the most I've seen him rest uninterrupted in a while w/o wanting to eat again or get up for any reason. He's all cuddled up in a ball..

I'm going to have to not give in to his pleadings if they start up again re so many servings of raw food. He seems to be able to comfortably take in 3-4 1 oz/day.

How is he tonight?

He should have recovered. The amount to feed can be tricky in hungry kitties new to raw. I've done the "too much soft poo" thing a couple of times, but eventually you figure it out. Eventually he will handle the 5 oz without problem -- he just needs more time to adjust.

Thanks for asking Linda. I sort of overreact when it comes to my cats. Winston ended up vomiting as well as having the gooey poos and he didn't want to eat that night tho the next a.m. he was right back on track to eat and beg. He really is an absolute cutey as I'll be doing the dishes and he just stands a few feet behind me waiting so patiently for me to turn around and feed him again!! Then if I say "no Winston, no raw food right now" he turns away from me and won't look at me!!! He's back been up to 4 raw food feedings/day again and a smattering of kibble tho nothing like he used to eat. So far so good. I love to see him want and be able to eat tho I get all freaked out when he has gooey poos or vomiting. Alaska too (who will not eat the raw food).
