I have finally found a new pet supply store in Boulder that supplies both TOTW and the Weruva packets that the babies get. They also sell scratchy boxes and da birds, cookies, and kitty shampoo. Yay.

So, I have pet all the doggies running around and I go up to the counter with my $60+ worth of stuff (I have a problem) and I glance to my right. There is a blue cream tortie persian sitting right on the counter with one eye. She looked SO much like MIss Maggie Moo, I had to do my best to hold it together. She was rescued from the Boulder Humane society. She was so incredibly sweet. I pet her for about ten minutes, before I started getting weird looks like "please don't steal our cat"

I waited til I got in my car to have my mini breakdown. :( Those people have no idea how profitable of a customer I'm going to be, simply because they rescued a beautiful blue one-eyed persian. :flower:

I'm touched that you got mushy over a one-eyed cat similar to Maggie. Thank you.

Oh that is so sweet!! I love when a pet store has an in house cat/dog.
I don't see it too often though as most of the stores
we have are the big chains.

I was in Petco the other day and I stopped to see the ones they have up for adoption
and the second I walked up to one of the cages :( they guy said
"oh no - she bites"
:?
Poor sweetie should be in a foster house being loved.

Kira bless you, your a sweetheart and have the biggest heart, I am like that too cannot help myself there is the sweetest chocolate Burmese up the road with the most amazing green eye and half a tail and yes the previous owners let it out, when it had an accident with a car they left it at the vets eth a false number. I just wanted to steel it away, but the newmowner says she doesn't venture out of the gate. It didn't happen with them as they rescued her,

I too would be going back and even if I didnt shop there just for cuddles. See your turning into a crazy cat lady   :flower:

 so did Fluffy , he was scared out of his mind and look at him now . That is no way to get a cat adopted out, he should be in foster, not a cage.

One of our local pet stores has a resident cat..and get this..
he's a persian...not only is he a persian, but he's a shaded silver
persian!! :D
His name is Nicolos or Nikky.

There is a sign on the door not to touch the cat..ya, right..like that is going
to happen (the sign is in French,so if they ever say anything to me, I'll plead
ignorance)
You never know where you are going to find him...sometimes he's just on the floor watching,
sometimes up on piled up bags of litter or stuff..sometimes on the cash counter.
It's always a surprise when you do come across him...like...."oh...there you are"
He's got birds, fish and lizards to watch...also mice, guniea pigs, etc. and puppies and kitties.

I hate they sell puppies and kitties, I've rarely seen pure bred cats in there, just your everyday
DSH or DLH..but I do believe the puppies are pure bred and hate to think of where they come
from, only hope they end up in good homes...(I can't not go into this pet store as it's the only
one that sells what Dolly eats)

But sometimes I will go in there just to say hello to Nikki :D

She was clearly very loved. She had her own little perch with a hot pink teasy feather on it and a special blankie right by the cashwrap. I of course started talking in baby talk to her, but I CLEARLY know where the Persian babies love rubbed (on the sides of the neck up by the head/ears) and so she liked me. She was very well cared for, no mats (I felt.. like a crazy person) and her eye was very clean. She was just gorgeous. Sigh... I will get a picture of her next week when I go for more food. I have to go for food every week because feeding Chunk is like feeding a rhinoceros.

The store where I buy my raw food has a resident Weimaraner, Blu. Blu goes to the same vet (a few blocks away) that my boys go to. It is a rather small shop, but they hold adoption days for local cat rescues. There were two cats adopted a few Saturdays ago. :cat: :cat: :D
