If there is anyone who knows of a senior persian girl that is in need of rescuing, I am looking to open up my home to a new persian. I live in BC, Canada, therefore shipping can only be possibly 5-6 hours away. I may consider flying to pick up a kittie. I am currently searching petfinder and some persian rescues in California. If you have any leads please let me know. Thanks very much.

Nadine

It's too bad you're not closer to Texas, because I have several girls I am about to retire. They aren't exactly "rescues", but I know they would all may excellent pets and need good homes too!

Look at this little sweetie, dumped by her daddy after 10 years. It's just not right. If I were him, I would have dumped the family for pressuring him.

And here's another little sweetie (17 years old and stuck in rescue):

And another in Quebec:

Otherwise, check Petfinder.com re persians or himalayans.

There are hundreds in need of a good home.

Oh, the poor baby Sugar, and the poor man pressured in to giving her up. That is just heartwrenching, and so very wrong! I dont know how he could ever forgive them for forcing him in to this.
I'm far,far away from S.C, as Nadine is too...but she is just so sweet.. they all are. :flower:

I hope all these little darlings will find their loving forever homes soon Amy. :paw:

Ha! That happened to me once. Allergic girl friend said either she goes or the cat goes. Of course it was no contest and the cat stayed. Too bad cause she was cute. lol

I always feel the worst for the old kitties, they are so confused that someone loved them for so long and then a shelter where they are less likely to get adopted because of age. I hope you find a wonderful kitty and thanks for giving an older kitty a chance.

Yes, Persiansweeties, I did call about Snow but she was adopted

I do have a member that has given me an opportunity to adopt one of hers, so this is a work in progress..

It has been a difficult process as no one in shelters will give me a chance to adopt. Another problem is if the kitty is too old, I fear for their life as I hear if they get too stressed out they may pass away.

Thanks so much for posting

Nadine
