What is everyone fixing for the Superbowl?

Does anyone have any simple recipes they would like to share?

I can make about 3 dishes.

-Cereal
-Grilled Cheese (only sometimes successful because I can't use the microwave)
-Cream Cheese Cheesy Salsa Dip.

It is delicious and terrible for you. Perfect for the Super Bowl. Take a package of cream cheese (I use the 1/3 less fat to make myself feel better) and spread it evenly in a ... oh no... I don't know the word for it... OOH a ceramic baking dish (thank you, google) Then take a can of rotel or your favorite salsa and put it on top of the cream cheese. Lastly, top it with Mexican shredded cheese (quite a bit). Warm that sucker up in the microwave for 3 minutes or so. It is delicious. And fool-proof. Voila. I'm sure you could bake it, but I fear that I will burn down my apartment.

Dip some delicious tortilla chips in that sucker. Mmmmmm. Tasty and fatty.

Recipe:

take about a dozen jalopenas and cut in half long ways.. take out the ribs and seeds. In a bowl mix a container of light cream cheese, cut up a half green grannie smith apple in small pieces, chop a bunch of green onions and mix together. Spoon the filling into the jalopena halves and wrap a piece of bacon around them and bake in the oven at 350 for about 20 - 30 minutes or until the bacon is done.... you can do without the bacon....

Nachos

Call for pizza....

cheesecake (Elvis' favorite)

Now Joe, as I may have mentioned, I'm not a
sports watcher...but

I think meatballs with a blue cheese dressing
might go down well; of course being Canadian
a beer or three might be good too.

And, you might try Arlene's baked ziti recipe,
perhaps she'll give it to you :!:

From what I read and hear, you will want to
up the fat and lower the fibre :!:

Saw a neat tip the other day in a magazine..
Put gauacamole dip (I know that is spelt wrong, you know, the
green stuff), in a bowl, and kind of make a "well" in the center of it
and fill with salsa...sounds yummy to me....

If anybody wants to try awesome meatballs....stick 2 jars of sauce...like prego or something in a crock pot along with 3/4 of a large jar of grape jelly. It takes an hour or two for the jelly to melt down so during that time you make the meatballs...ground beef, italian style bread crumbs, ketchup, an egg, and onion. Roll em up, bake em...and then stick them in the crock pot for a few hours to soak up the yum.

I usually make those or chili for super bowl...but my brother in law won't eat chili anymore...since a year and a half ago he got sick right after me and my niece in law hada chili cook off. I know it was not my chili...but he swore off chili. lol. So I am making lasagna from scratch. Also we will have cheese and crackers and crunch n munch...I love c&m.

I am also making a cake....

This recipe for the cake...

I am another person with no interest in the super bowl but I will watch it with my hubby. We are having roast beef but only because we still are very British and have a roast on a Sunday plus its the only day of the week I have the time and energy to make one. Kevin has some cider and I will have my glass or three of wine.
