I made a stone House of Eternity for Dana, it is a three foot high pyramid with a wooden cross on the top.

This is Bumper's resting spot, and of course,
there are a few framed pictures of him in the house.
It will be extended for Dolly when the time comes.

Snuggies, unfortunetly, is buried in the yard of our former home.
But it is the home and yard she knew all her life, and the spot we put her is safe
from any diggings the new owner may want to do.
I feel she rests peacefully in the yard she loved to take supervised walks in...

I don't like to even type about this, but if God forbid something should happen to Elvis or Wed Wed... I would have an urn necklace and have beautiful fur and some of the ashes with me always each day... and the boxes in the window at home. But, I know they will not be there.. they are with me.. in my heart and will watch over me from the Bridge.... but, they deserve a loving memorial .........

I love Joan's Bumper's Garden the best, but, I won't be able to have that for my babies... but, they know they are loved and will leave this plane with my voice in their little velvet ears telling them how much Mommy loves them and in my arms... God willing....

Its beautiful that we all remember our kids in our own way, as for Matt and I we have a beautiful mahogany box for each of ours Tiffany and Tzar. I had a beautiful friend who sent me an angel pin and did a series of photos when we lost Tzar. We have this framed and on the wall in a bronze filigree frame. We don't have our one garden so where ever we go they will go with us. The are sleeping peacefully surrounded by their collars on the set of draws and also candles surround them and framed is some of their fur.

I have a special CDs of music I made for them and when feeling melancholy in play these. When i gontosleepni put this on and dream of my babies. I suppose I dedicated songs to them and one sone that comes to mind is Kristin Chenoweth's song borrowed angles because that's what they are borrowed or a short time until the lord ask them to come home

We are so truly blessed to have them in our lives even for the briefest oF times and I know I wouldn't change that. Even though the heartache is still raw it makes me smile knowing I have been loved and loved in return unconditionally
Bless sll our angel bsbiesb
:cat:

This is the song buti am sure you all know it if not I love it sorry if it makes you cry

We laid Joey to rest last night at 6:30 pm. When I opened the bag so we could give him his last pets, Rae burst into tears  and said "I'm going to miss his ORNERY Butt" .... when he wouldn't fit into the plot and I had to make the hole bigger she laughed and said "wouldn't you know it, he'd make things difficult right up to the very end"
Even I had to smile because she was right...he even argued about going into the plot  :cat:

Sadly I have had to leave lost babies behind and I will again. And even more upsetting is I thought I had them safely buried but they weren't . We have only been in this house 6 yrs and there are 4 precious babies out back already, 3 of them in a year. If they die in the middle of winter it is hard to bury them and I can't do cremation. We will be leaving this place soon and again I will have to leave them behind. This bothers me, I will point out where they are after we sell the house and hope the new owners will respect them. I have family buried too but I never visit the graves, they are not there, just like my fur kids are not there. They are near by and in my heart so they will always go with me.
When they pass away Jim always builds a wooden box, we wrap them in a blankie and I insist they are place in a comfortable position ,he nails it shut and we carve the names, dates and nicknames on the lid and bury them.

When we buried Dillon Chase would go out and lay on the grave, and he would howl, he did this for several months. We had never heard him howl before and he has never done it since.

I sorta turned Gabby Kitty's bed into a shrine by accident. Didn't know where else to put the box of ashes, then i got a clay paw print in the mail from the vet office, next i found a whisker and some shed claws. add a couple of sympathy cards and a brush with hair still in it and viola, instant shrine.

sat on my dresser for 2 years. then one day i came home from work and couldn't find Smushie. She was curled up asleep in the corner of the bed. I still have all that stuff, it's just not "on display" now. I'm thinking of making a kitty scrap book.

When my babies go to the Rainbow Bridge, I have had them cremated. Each are in their own beautiful little ceramic urn. One has her picture and name painted on the one side. Still trying to find someone that will paint the other two and future ones. When I die, they are all to be buried with me. 3 so far and 11 more. I'm going to need a BIG casket.

Popeye will be placed closest to my heart.
