Kira, if you have posted this already, excuse me. I have been hit and miss on this site since everything happened with Casper.

Did you have an eye stain done on PPP? The way that she is squinting just makes me wonder if maybe her eye got scratched somehow?

Poor thing, she is just too cute to be feeling under the weather.

No eye stain. I honestly think it is allergies. It looks a little better each day.

I had to reschedule our vet appointment again to Friday because the roads are once again horrible. But, both of the babies are doing well. Puffy's eye itches, which makes me think it's allergies.

I got the Little Noses (not medicated) saline spray for Chunker's nose and it seemed to help yesterday. His eyes look great, PPP's just have a few boogers. PPP's nose looks great, but Chunk's have a few boogers.

Hopefully it is just allergies. As I mentioned before, I have Garfield on Chlorpheniramine, maybe you could try that to get her through the rough times?

I'm definitely going to ask about it at the vet. Aunty J suggested it as well. Here eyes were a marked improvement this morning from yesterday morning. She always has runny eyes, but they were no where near as bad as in the pic. It seems like she does better at night too, I think the bright sun bothers them. She has been enjoying belly rubs and her eyes being washed (which makes me confident that they are itchy because she HATES her eyes washed).. of course, then Chunk wants in on the action so he gets his washed too ;)

Thanks for the advice, Teddy. How is the herd?

You can get the allergy pills online. I think part of it is just being Persian... sigh And, I swear by the Saline and the Little Noses!!!!!!! The boys don't like it.. but, it works and they don't stay ticked for long... washing the face with a warm, warm, cotton wash cloth or the salt and hot water is very good for them.

Also, sitting them in the bathroom and turning the shower on high and leaving them for 5- 10 minutes really helps the stuffy nose!!!!!

The little noses seemed to drastically decrease his snuffling. ANd he didn't mind it too much. He is just a lover so if you're touching him, he's happy, even if you're putting drops up his nose

I wash their faces with a warm cotton wash cloth every night. I tried the saltwater solution that MyJoey suggested but it seemed to irritate PPP's eyes. So for now I just do hot water. It has to be very warm or it doesn't work as well. Plus, I think it is soothing. I think the brachycephalic kitties just have the snorts and eye/nose problems. It's so funny how they are all different. Chunk has boogs and ear gunk. PPP just has dirty eyes. BUT I think it's very important to wash those dirty faces EVERY day, so I'm very diligent about it.

And,... everyone gets cookies afterwards, so it's a win/win. Chunk knows three words: CHUNK, HUNGRY, and COOKIES sigh....

Casper is holding her own. I am still syringe feeding her twice a day (which she hates!). She will eat a little bit of tuna on her own, but not enough to keep here alive. She pretty much just lays in her bed most of the day but when I get home from work she will get up out of the bed and "talk" to me. She is still using the litter box but only after I scoop it out from all of the other cats using it. I use large storage containers for my litter boxes since they kick the litter out everywhere and she really can't jump into them. I still have the crate up downstairs but I have the door open to it so of course all of the other cats go in and use her litterbox since it is something different.

Garfield's eyes have been a little runny also which is making the skin around his eyes a little irritated. I clean his face twice a day. His routine is in the morning he gets his allergy pill along with L-Lysine, then I wipe his face and put Blephagel in the creases around his nose. After a few minutes, we wipe off the Blephagel and I have been putting the Eye Envy powder as close to the eye as I can get it to try and dry the area up a little bit. In the evening he gets his allergy pill, then he gets drops in his eyes which we get from the eye specialist. Garfield has herpes and a little over a year ago he had a very bad case of ulcers on both eyes. After the eye drops we do the Bleghagel, then wipe off and powder. He gets more work done on his face than any high maintenance woman that I know

I had some issues with Joey a couple of weeks ago peeing on my throw rugs again. I think he is feeling a little jealous since I have been paying so much attention to Casper. For now he is back on track again using his litter boxes in our bathroom.

The rest of the gang is doing well, thank goodness, I can only handle 3 crisis at a time.

I spoke with the woman on Thursday night that took the stray cat that I had around our house. She said that he is coming along nicely. He hid under the love sofa and the bed but one day she was laying in bed and he jumped up on the bed and started making biscuits on her stomach. She has a Jack Russell Terrier which is about 2 years old and she was going to try to introduce them sometime this week. Not sure I would want to be there for that introduction but I hope everything works out for them.

Teddy, that's good to hear. Chunk and PPP have two litterboxes. But they will only use one at a time. THey both have to poop in the same one. So, finally I just took the small one away. SInce they insist on using the same one, they can use the big one so I don't have to sweep litter off the floor twice a day

3 crises is more than I can handle. Take care of yourself and keep us updated
