Just got back from the Vet where Winston gets his fluids and gets weighed and he is up from 5.1lbs last week to 5.8lbs this week!!!! I'm so happy!!! I just hope the lamb doesn't set him back as he vomited that this morning. I think I may discontinue feeding it to him because it does have more gristle/or fat in it I think that might be hard for him to keep down or this batch. Will wait and see if he keeps the half oz portion I just fed him.

You go, Winston! And it is all muscle! I can't wait until I show my buff little Bogey to the vet. I wonder how much weight he has put on!

Yay! Great news!!! :D
I bet he feels soooo much better too :paw:

We have only switched to half raw so we haven't seen a huge difference
but I can tell you when I see those lighter, less stinky poos in the box it makes me so happy

We have seriously talked about making the whole switch.
It's just that it means a whole lotta chopping or doing it once
a week instead of every other week.

I am loving the raw food diet. Talia and Mia love it along with my dogs. Purcy and Emma still won't touch it...but I will continue to try with them.

You don't know how happy these results make me! I try hard not to 'push' the raw food since it is a big step, so having several of you guys try it and have success makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. :D (Olivia is taking care of the outside right now.)

I remember when I first was reading here about the raw food diet and had asked about it was around the time when Alaska had her big IBD episode I think in last June. I wasn't quite paying as much attention to Winston's diet as I should have been at that time. I guess I transitioned to the raw food diet out of desperation in terms of Winston not tolerating anything else and would never have thought he'd do so well w/this diet!! Seeing is believing! Now I've just got to get Alaska to transition as she is having an episode of the yucky poos again. I will have to get the flavor that appeals to her and it's not lamb tho Winston has been able to eat lamb as well as chicken.

thanks Linda for the encouragement with the raw food and everyone else! It does make a diff!
