They are cute critters and they carry their babies in a pouch. So they are marsupials the babies are Amazingly funny the adults can be scary but this will give you an idea on the grunting noise. Unfortunately most farmers consider them pests and kill them as they dig great big holes.

Not unlike gophers or your ground hogs they are cute but also can be a tad agressive and will chase you which believe me is scary and funny. I was chased by one on my cousins farm as a child I remember laughing and crying

Why don't we have wombats here? They are way bigger than I thought! Groundhogs and gophers are like 1/4 that size. And gophers carry lots of disease so you can't touch them.

Kira I knew you'd like it sorry about the norty word in the video apparently digger had the hits for donna lol. It's more like a cough than a grunt. And when I go skiing you can see their footprints in the snow and crossing the snow. They are not road smarts as we see many in the country dead which is sad and they do serious damage to your car like the Roos do

I see a groundhog out back here most summers..sometimes it comes
up and munches on my flowers when no one is outside..

I've heard of wombats but never knew what they looked like.

There once was a motorcycle named the Wombat. It was built in the 1970s by a company called Hodaka (no longer in business). They made a competition model called the Combat Wombat - best motorcycle name ever!

Debby glad I shared our funny fury wombats & no you don't want them to scratch You their claws are very pointy & sharp. They being held on their backs btw. Oh and love the name of the bike combat wombat cool name

They look very interesting creatures, a bit like the large guinea pig from what I can see. Am I right in saying that the pouch on these animals is upsidedown so that it does not fill with dirt when they are burrrowing?

Yes they do its weird they also stay In the pouch for 6 months and with their mums for 2 years. You'd think they would need a tummy tuck after carrying them in their pouch for that
