I've lost a total of 21 lbs in 6 months.
My A1C is still 6.3 :x I was trying to get it below 6.0
My HDL is 35.
The LDL is 65.
and the rash on my arm is poison Oak or Sumac. I've NEVER broken out before and I mess with it and poisin Ivy almost every day. We have a lot of it back by the creek. My legs get the most contact and they are clear.
She said they are seeing more because of the heat...sweating is opening the pores and the oils are seeping in. She said we need to kill it... I said I can't, it keeps the neighbor kids out of my yard  :flower:

Rhona, yes.. congratulations on the weight loss! Way to go!! :paw: :flower:
I'm not sure about the marks for your HDL and LDL readings, but I'm guessing they're good numbers.
I dont what AIC is, but you hit close to your target - so that's good news for you. :paw: :)

I've never been in contact with it that I can recall, but the poison ivy rash sounds bad to put up with
.

A1C is the average blood sugar over the previous 3 months. I was told if it's over 7.0 for two consetive tests they put you on meds.

LDL & HDL is cholesterol. My good cholesterol is to low but better than it was last year at 27. My total Cholesterol continues to hover around 100.

Now, to just get rid of the rash....it ITCHES

My A1C was 14! I'm on meds. If you're just at 6.3, you're doing excellent! They told me anything under 7.0 was doing great. My last one was 6.8 and she's happy as a clam but tells me to keep trying to lose weight and that will help.

Have you tried some cortisone cream for the itch?

Hydroeortisone cream is what I'm using on it...3x a day. Unfortunately, when I put it on Joey insist on rubbing his head on that arm

If the cream doesn't work I'll have to take pills that will raise my sugar levels while I'm on it  ...

Thumbs up on all items but the rash, that is the pitts. Have you tryed putting calamine (spelling) lotion on it for the itch , or taking some benedryl? Keep up the good work. :D

Will Calimine dry it up and make it go away? Taking the Benadryl before bed is a good idea...if nothing else it will knock me out so I can sleep thru the itch...uggh

I don't know about the drying up but it does help the itch, you can take Benedryl also, we'll get you properly "drugged" yet :D When I look at the word Calamine it doesn't look right, the brand we have is Caladryl, so I haven't seen calamine spelled out for a loooong time. The old Calamine lotion is a pink color but the Caladryl is clear. I am sure there are ton of different brands.

Have your tried hydrocortisone gel rather then cream?? I get prickly heat really bad when I work out alot and it is terrible, itches so bad. I tried creams and everything but the only thing that works is the gel. For some reason the creams keep it too moist and the gels cool it and it dries quickly. It always seems to return when I work out alot but I have to say when I use the gel it is literally gone in a day or two. This is the one that did absolute wonders for me, it was gone in a day:

Congrats on the weight loss too!
