Found this little guy near my patio yesterday.

I love these lizards- there is a big one living in an overgrown area at the back of my yard.
I was very careful mowing the lawn today- and hope they can't get inside my patio enclosure near the cats

OH he's cute! I like him. We have pet lizards. They are neat little critters.

His tongue is cool! He scares me a little bit though  How neat that he was outside your place!

Kira- they are the most docile things.
When I was a child- we kept one as a pet- mum used to put it on her lap and feed it mince or bananas.
Later she had one living in her backyard and used to buy bananas for it as a treat.
I love the fact they are living in my yard- they are very common here. Love the fact they eat snails.

My garden is very lizard-friendly right now- i.e. an overgrown mess with the heat and rain and being away or working long hours.
I haven't seen them this afternoon- hope they stay around.
Have to start buying bananas-as they love them

See, I used to live in Houston, TX... and we had little green lizards and they would BITE! I think I'm traumatized from those lizards  Of course they never actually HURT you, but it would terrify me cause I was a kid. We had LOTS of snails too. I have an irrational phobia of worms, and I think it is because of all the snails and slugs that lived in Texas. UGH. When it rained they were EVERYWHERE.

Pics of your garden please!!

Well isn't that just the cutest little lizard :?: We
have nothing of the sort here, too bad, I'll bet
they eat unwanted insects. :D

Cute little thing. Looks kind of like a tiny little alligator. How big do they get?

I like lizards and geckos and cameleons :) One more thing I hope to see in person soon!

Thanks for sharing,
